Name one thing you believed when you were starting your career that makes you chuckle today. For me, it was the belief that working in business was off the table if I wanted to make a difference in the world. Damn, did I get that wrong!
Tye is an award-winning hairstylist and world-class problem solver. Salon owners face a major challenge – filling chairs. New hairstylists face a major challenge – overhead. So, what happens when a stylist walks into a salon and asks, “can I rent that station for the day?” ShearShare, affectionately named Hair BnB, is born.
Tye and his wife, Courtney, represent another blow to my naive and foolish hypothesis. Their ingenuity facilitated purpose and profit for thousands of entrepreneurs and small business owners. When a business model is designed to generate revenue and impact, the result can be pretty . . . inspiring.
