I gave a presentation on cause marketing to the Upper Main Line Rotary Club last week. As usual, I learned as much from them as they from me. One of the members told me about the Purple Heart Project. It was inspiration at first sight. I cannot imagine a more authentic connection between company and cause.
Rob Cosman is a furniture maker, tool maker and woodworking instructor in Canada. Six years ago, he invited war-wounded veterans to attend a week-long woodworking course because he discovered it was therapeutic. Each veteran receives transportation, lodging, meals, tuition, and receive a premium hand tool starter kit. Amazing, right?
I had nothing to do with Rob’s stroke of genius, but this is the perfect example of the relationships we create at Unless. So, since my birthday was yesterday, I’m going to help two companies embrace a cause, like Rob. Each company will receive a customized (and complimentary) concept plan – no strings attached. If you have a company to suggest, let me know.
